The Supervillains — self-described on Instagram as "hard-partying, easy-skankin' swamp-punk-reggae-ska from Florida" — will headline the Space Coast Music Festival on Nov. 5 in Eau Gallie.

All told, a colorful roster of 97 musical acts will perform throughout the afternoon and evening on seven stages across downtown Eau Gallie. Admission is free, and attractions will include vendors and food trucks.

“The Black Box Blackout Stage is going to be pretty dramatic, with some jazz and gospel being added, a little more hip-hop added to this year's festival," said co-organizer Steven Spencer. He sings in the punk-metal band Sixty Foot Giant.

"You'll still have the tried-and-true alternative music, and punk and metal," Spencer said.

Organizers unveiled The Supervillains as headliners in a Saturday morning announcement. Space Coast Music Festival proceeds will benefit the music-centric nonprofit Harbor City Local, which helps provide music lessons and instruments for Brevard County at-risk students.

New for this year:

• Jazz singer-songwriter Kristen Warren, who headlined last year's festival, curated the lineup for a new Black Box Blackout Stage highlighting music by Black artists.

Throughout February, Warren organized the Black Box Blackout showcase featuring music, comedy, theater and film by Black artists at Funky Dog Improv in Eau Gallie.

• The Screamland: Fright at the Museum "curated horror experience" will host a stage inside the former Foosaner Art Museum.

This musical stage will feature "a moody and intimate performance space" for songwriters, Screamland producer Derek Gores said.

• Nilah Lois and The Groove Kids have "graduated" from the youth-dedicated Groove Shack Stage and will perform at Intracoastal Brewing Co.

The Groove Shack is a Satellite Beach musical school that trains kids how to play in rock bands.

“The kids' stage was a hit. I think I speak for both of us — it was our favorite part," co-organizer Steve Keller said of last year's Space Coast Music Festival.

"It brought another level to the scene, to everything that's going on. And the Black Box Blackout, I think, is just another example of the diversity that we have," said Keller, who sings and drums for Best Supporting Actor and drums for DL Serios.

Spencer also co-organized the Punk in the Park music-skateboarding festival headlined by T.S.O.L. in June at Eau Gallie Square.

Kelly Quinn sings and plays guitar in Sounds of Nebula, a Melbourne all-woman indie punk rock band. They will head into the studio in January to record their next album, and they will perform during the Nov. 5 festival at 12:40 p.m. at Intracoastal Brewing Co.

“We did it the first year — and we loved it,” Quinn said, referring to the Space Coast Music Festival’s resurrection in 2019.

“There were so many people. There were so many original bands that were involved in it. So I'm happy to be involved in it again," Quinn said.

A festival pre-party concert takes place from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Nov. 4 at Intracoastal Brewing Co. Musical acts include Paging Mr. Herman, Best Supporting Actor, Damion Suomi, Lily of the Valley, Rainy Ruby Angel and Dollmaker. Admission is free for all ages.
