SpaceX Crew Prepares to Leave Space Station After 6-Month Mission

SpaceX crewmembers on a research mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS) prepared to return to Earth after six months on Monday, March 11.

Scientists from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and Russia’s Roscosmos were “preparing to wrap up their nearly six-month science mission, and bring home time-sensitive research to Earth,” NASA said in a press release.

The SpaceX Crew-7 team delivered farewell remarks and hosted a formal change of command ceremony on Sunday, handing over command of the ISS to Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko.
