SpaceX launches satellite, breaks turnaround time

The launch, which was originally scheduled for July 14, took place at 5:30 p.m. EDT (2230 GMT) from Cape Canaveral in Florida.

Following change separation, SpaceX landed the Flacon 9 first stage at 5:38 p.m. EDT (2238 GMT) on their drone ship called "Just Read the Instructions," stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The successful landing sets a new record at 51 days for the fastest turn-around time on reusing a rocket.

The ANASIS-II satellite will serve South Korean military needs and its deployment was not shown on live video.
