SpaceX rocket deploys 21 Starlink satellites in Vandenberg’s 25th mission of 2023

A SpaceX rocket made an early morning delivery with a Monday launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base, marking the 25th launch from the base in 2023.

The Falcon 9 rocket blasted off just before 2 a.m. from Space Launch Complex-4 on South Base.

More than an hour later, SpaceX confirmed the 21 Starlink satellites has deployed as planned.

The new satellites joined thousands of others in orbit as SpaceX continues to build its constellation of spacecraft to provide high-speed internet access to remote and rural areas where the land-based service has been unavailable or unreliable.

Starlink representatives claimed service now is available on all seven continents in more than 60 countries with 2 million customers.

Starlink satellites have launched from Vandenberg since September 2021. The majority of the craft have headed to space from Florida.
