Spain to provide police and military training assistance to Ukraine

He also said a military training center for the Ukrainian troops is to be established in the Spanish city of Toledo by the end of November.

"We’re going to participate in the EU training mission," Sánchez said.

Spanish Minister of Defense Margarita Robles on Nov. 16 said that Spain could train up to 2,400 military personnel per year within the EU training mission.

As for now, Spain is training 122 Ukrainian soldiers, she said.

Madrid also will deliver two more Hawk air defence systems to Ukraine.
