Spalding County deputy loses house, belongings in fire
A Spalding County deputy and his family are looking for a new home after theirs was decimated in a fire, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
The department said Deputy McArthur McClendon lost the house he was living in with his wife and mother. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
The department says that McClendon and his family are in need of donations.

Donations will be accepted at the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office, located at 401 Justice Boulevard in Griffin, Georgia, according to the department.
The family is looking for donations of XL women’s shirts, size 14/16 women’s pants, men’s large shirts and men’s size 34 waist pants.
