Special meals, activities planned for Mother's Day in Panama City. Where to celebrate?

PANAMA CITY — Not only are restaurants serving up Mother's Day specials, but Mother's Day activities also are on tap across Bay County.

Whether it's a special brunch or a painting class, there are many ways to honor your mother on Sunday. Here are seven restaurants offering Mother's Day specials and four special events during the weekend.

Shrimp Boat Restaurant

The Shrimp Boat, 1201 Beck Ave. in St. Andrews, will have a special brunch with free mimosas on arrival, live music and entertainment for the children. Brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with limited seating available. Adults are $33.99, children 5 to 10 years old are $16.99 and children under 4 eat free. C-Level Bar and Grill

C-Level, 8014 Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach, will offer a special brunch menu, as well as a traditional menu, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. An unlimited mimosa and bloody Mary bar will be available, along with a special treat for mothers. The brunch menu includes triple berry pancakes, lox bagel, biscuit and gravy, breakfast burrito, crab cake benedict, giant cinnamon roll and C-Level hash. Reservations: 850-233-3564.

The meal includes strawberry sweet creamed goat cheese stuffed French toast, candied pecan granola, and fresh strawberry syrup. Downtown Farmers Market

On Saturday, the Downtown Farmers Market, 218 Harrison Ave. in Panama City, will have a wide assortment of gifts for Mother's Day, including handmade jewelry, clothing, arts and crafts, candles, home decor and more. Enjoy live music from Janelle Frost from 9 a.m. to noon, and a wide choice of foods from various food trucks. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Palmetto Paint PC

Join Palmetto Paint Panama City from 5-7 p.m. Sunday for a 2 for $40 class at My Space Downtown, 97 W. Oak Ave., to paint the newest sunflower piece. Normally each seat is $30, but for $40 you and your mom can spend the evening painting together. Paint along with the group, or work on something separately. Mother's Day Card Workshop

The Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership will host a Mother's Day card workshop with Salty Dog Mayor Betty Boop at Oaks by the Bay Park, 2715 W. 10th St., from 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday. Bring the children or furry loved ones to make a special Mother's Day card. All supplies will be provided.
