Schriever man accused of molesting 6-year-old girl, faces 4 child molestation charges

A Schriever man has been arrested and booked on multiple counts of child molestation.

Nicholas Kokinos was arrested on Sept. 15 by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office and charged with four counts of molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $50,000 bond for two counts. When the additional two counts were added later, he was given a no bond.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office said the investigation began this month. The victim told detectives Kokinos began touching her inappropriately as early as the age of 6. The abuse continued for approximately two years and at several addresses within the parish.

“I am very passionate about protecting the children of our community, and this type of behavior will not be tolerated," said Terrebonne Parish Sheriff' Tim Soignet. "Our detectives will do what is needed to bring these offenders to justice.”
