Spencerport man killed in snowmobile crash

A Spencerport man was killed in a snowmobile crash over the weekend in Lewis County, according to New York State Police.

Troopers said that Dean Beck, 49, was riding south on a trail in Osceola around 8:50 p.m. Sunday when he missed a sharp curve, traveled down a steep embankment and struck a tree. Beck was thrown from his snowmobile and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Osceola is about 50 miles northeast of Syracuse.
