Spend less time running errands with mobile Fayetteville businesses that come to you

Mobile businesses in Fayetteville offer a range of services independent of location, often traveling to clients’ homes or places of work.

State law has prohibited mobile salons; customers cannot yet get haircuts or manicures at home. However, mobile pet groomers, mechanics, veterinarians, caterers and launderers serve the Fayetteville area.

Mobile services can be helpful for the elderly, people with disabilities, and those who would rather spend more time at home and less time running errands.

Here’s a sampling of mobile businesses serving the Fayetteville area and the services they provide.

Danytza Antinozzi owns Moka In-Home Grooming, a mobile pet salon serving the Fayetteville area for the past 8 years. She offers dog bathing, styling and nail trims.

Antinozzi said many of her clients are retired professionals and veterans who cannot take their dogs out of the home. Many of them have senior dogs that are too fragile for a traditional pet salon environment, she said. For example, a dog that used to be medicated for salon grooming is perfectly well-behaved without medicine for his at-home grooming appointments, Antinozzi said. Visit facebook.com/mokainhomegrooming or call 760-267-3824 for more information.

Antinozzi only works with dogs, but Meow In Home Cat Grooming exclusively grooms cats in the Fayetteville area. Call Natali Gibson at 910-725-9202. Another option for dogs is Hope Mills-based Vintage Mobile Dog Grooming. Call 910-500-2447.

Peak Performance Mobile Veterinary Services provides mobile veterinary services to dogs and cats in the Fayetteville area. At-home services include physical exams, skin and ear infection treatment, vaccinations, microchipping and flea and tick medication.

Owner and veterinarian Kristyn Commerford has ran the business since 2015. She said many of her patients or their owners are handicapped or elderly; some owners work from home and prefer not to take time off work; and some are parents with young children. Regardless, Commerford said her clients enjoy the convenience of receiving pet care in their own home. Call 910-225-2838 or visit ppvs-ks.com/mobilevet.

Mobile car repair

The Mobile Mechanic Service owner Avern Collins said he has served the Fayetteville area for a decade. In the past 10 years, he said he’s built a loyal clientele with mostly preventive maintenance service on car batteries, starters and oil changes.

All he needs is the key to the car and he can usually get the job done in less than two hours, he said.

“I try to make my client's life easy,” Collins said.

Denise Baker owns Laundry Day, a laundry and dry-cleaning service with two Fayetteville locations. The 4829 Ramsey St. location offers delivery and drop-off, while the 919 McArthur Road location offers drop-off only.

Baker said her customers, who are mostly married women professionals with children, tell her the service is a “marriage saver” or a “marriage enhancer.” Many of them have busy lives, and taking laundry off their to-do list gives them more time to spend with their families, Baker said.

Businesses like short-term housing rentals, churches, caterers and restaurants use Laundry Day’s services, too, she said.

The process is simple — customers can use the Laundry Day, Inc. mobile app to schedule a pickup and select detergent preferences. A driver picks up the laundry and brings it to the facility, where it is sorted by lights and darks, washed, dried, folded and packaged. It is dropped off at the customer’s doorstep the next day for $1.85 per pound, or the same day for $2.50 per pound. The delivery fee is $5 and the minimum order is $25.

Call 910-229-2551 for the Ramsey St. location, or 910-568-5849 for the McArthur Road location or visit laundrydayinc.com.
