Spice Girls' Mel B Says She & Geri Halliwell Hooked Up Once

In a plot twist many of us older Millennials likely never saw coming, it appears that Spice Girls Mel B and Geri Halliwell may have hooked up when the group was still together. The news came out during an interview that Mel B. (also known as Melanie Brown) had with Piers Morgan for Morgan’s forthcoming Life Stories television program. Brown’s claims have left the entire internet shaken (and stirred).

As reported by The Daily Mail, Brown’s comments about an alleged hook-up and possible sexual encounter between her and Spice Girls bandmate Halliwell were part of her recent Life Stories interview with Morgan. Morgan broached the subject during the interview, at one point asking Brown, “There were rumors you and Geri were more than just good friends. You had a little dabble?”

According to the transcript provided by The Daily Mail (and as seen in a recap video shown on Good Morning Britain, which Morgan cohosts, on Monday morning in the UK), Brown is initially hesitant to reply. In the video, Brown appears to smile coyly while remaining silent. After a few moments of attempting to deflect Morgan’s probing, Brown appears to relent when Morgan asks, “Your book is called Brutally Honest and you are coming here to be brutally honest? Did you or didn’t you with Geri Halliwell?”

Brown then replies, “Well, what do you consider as doing it or not?”

“Did you sleep with her?” Morgan asks, to which Brown says, “Yeah, we all slept in a bed together but not ‘like that’ all of us,” and later elaborates, seeming to imply that something more happened with Halliwell: “She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it.”

Morgan attempted to get more details from Brown, with Brown playing off the claims by saying, “We were best friends. It just happened. Have you ever done that?” after Morgan asked if there was ever a romantic relationship between the women. Towards the end of the interview, Brown ends with a final comment about Halliwell’s possible reaction to the claims, telling Morgan, “Yeah and I’ve said it now. All done. She’s going to kill me and so’s her husband. She’s not that posh now, is she?”

During that same interview, which was taped in front of a studio audience and included fellow Spice Girl bandmate Melanie Chisholm (also known as Mel C within the group), Brown also revealed she and Chisholm shared a kiss, telling Morgan, “Well, when I got my tongue pierced we all kissed. But that was just a kiss because I wanted to know what it felt like. It was just a silly kiss. Nothing sexual like that.”

Brown’s willingness to share any kinds of details about any possible encounters with the other Spice Girls ended there but honestly, we need more information, Brown. Tell us all of the details, please!

It’s only been a day since Brown’s comments on Life Stories made headlines but they’ve already taken the internet by storm, mostly because fans, even lifelong fans, had absolutely no clue this was a possibility. Chisholm did not comment during the interview and Halliwell has yet to release a statement. As of this writing, not a peep from fellow former Spice Girls Emma Bunton or Victoria Beckham.

Without a doubt, this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this story but this bombshell is gonna keep us occupied until that next round of information comes in.
