Splitsville bowling, restaurant to reopen at Disney Springs

ORLANDO, Fla. — Splitsville Luxury Lanes, a bowling attraction and restaurant, will reopen its Disney Springs location on Friday.

The lanes shut down with the rest of Disney Springs because of the coronavirus pandemic in March. The shopping and dining complex has been reopening gradually since May 20, but Splitsville will be among the first of the more hands-on activities to return to the fold.

A video shared via social media highlights some of the health and safety precautions that will be taken at Splitsville, including the sanitizing of bowling balls and other equipment and surfaces by staff members in between parties. Customers will choose between Splitsville’s sanitized shoes and disposable foot coverings. There will be social distancing between the lanes in use and elsewhere.

The restaurant will have single-use paper menus and QR-code menus available. Its ground-floor bars will be open, and there will be live entertainment at the venue, which is in the West Side neighborhood of Disney Springs.

Splitsville’s reopening will start at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Staff members and visitors will be required to wear face coverings, as they currently are across Walt Disney World.

Splitsville’s reopening will occur one day before Disney World begins the phased reopening of its theme parks. Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open for folks with park reservations and admission starting Saturday. Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will reopen July 15.
