Thousands of costumed adults and children were greeted with sunshine and 70-degree temperatures. Along the neighborhood's tree-lined streets, the smell of fallen leaves mixed with the sweet and savory scents of food vendors.
The street fair hosts an array of activities, including a 5K run, local merchants, live entertainment, costume and pumpkin-carving contests and a costume parade.
According to the festival's website, Irvington's Halloween celebrations date back as early as 1927, held in varying form and frequency throughout the years.
