Gather around ghouls and ghosts, Spooky season is here.
As October flies by, people are preparing their Halloween costumes, putting the final touches to their decorations and finding something spooky and family friendly to celebrate the season. Here's a list of some scary and not so scary Halloween activities happening as we get closer to Halloween.
Boyd's Pumpkin Patch
Still trying to find the perfect pumpkin for your jack-o'-lantern or to sit on the porch for decoration? A trip to the pumpkin patch is just what you need.
Boyd's has the perfect place to go on a nice fall day for a fall family photo, corn maze and, of course, the pumpkins. Boyd's is open daily, weather permitting.

R & P Haunted Farm
Enjoy this spooky season with a haunted hayride at R&P Farm. If you aren't interested in the haunted hayride, concessions, vendors, music and a bonfire gives everyone an option of something to enjoy this fall.

Halloween favorites at the Roxy Regional Theatre
Roxy Regional Theatre is continuing to celebrate Halloween with the return of "Planters Bank Presents"... with a different movie every Sunday in October.

Halloween History on the Rocks
Bell Witch, poisonous books, drink specials and trivia are some things to expect at the spooky edition of Customs House Museum & Cultural Center's quarterly history happy hour with Second & Commerce magazine.

Austin Peay Percussion Halloween Concert
Austin Peay State University's Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert has been been a seasonal tradition, selling out shows for 39 years, is celebrating its grande finale this year.
“We’re playing ‘Onslaught,’ a rocking percussion ensemble by Cy Miessler, and a novelty piece called ‘Everything Considered (Up to the Kitchen Sink) that uses every ‘instrument’ imaginable,” David Steinquest, professor of percussion at Austin Peay said. “As usual, the ensemble will dress in costume, the hall will be festively decorated, there will be special lighting effects and the Mass Communication Department will provide live feed video on the back screen, giving the event an exciting rock concert vibe.”
Halloween attendees are to expect the unexpected as Steinquest has plenty of musical surprises in store.
“Get your tickets sooner rather than later, as this concert always sells out ahead of time,” Steinquest said. “This is your last chance … it’s going to be the biggest and best Halloween show ever!”
You can get tickets here or community members can bring canned donation to the Music and Mass Communications Building Room 139 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.

"Halloweentown" Movie Night
The Downtown Commons is taking a trip to the most Halloween place: Halloweentown. Join the party to watch the classic Disney Halloween movie, take photos at the spooky photobooth and enjoy some food.
When: Saturday, Oct. 28, starting at 6 p.m.

Fright on Franklin
For one night, Historic Downtown Clarksville will be transformed into a night "a frightfully fun scene for the entire family," with trick-or-treating, Halloween activities and a costume contest or the Fright on Franklin, according to the CityofClarksville.com.

The categories for the costume contest will be judged at the following times:
Newborn to 2yrs - 3:15 p.m.
3-6yrs - 3:45 p.m.
7-9yrs - 4:15 p.m.
10-12yrs - 4:45 p.m.
Group Contest - 5:15 p.m.

Fall Festival in Rotary Park
Dress in your costume and come down to Rotary Park as the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation celebratesYo its third annual Fall Festival this year.
Trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, food trucks and creepy crawlers to enjoy at the park just in time for Halloween

Spooktacular Halloween Party
Dress in your favorite costume and head to the Clarksville - Montgomery County Public Library for a "creepy crawly animal show, a costume parade and treats" at the Spooktacular Halloween Party.
When: Sunday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Where: Clarksville - Montgomery County Public Library

Trunk or Treat and Carnival
This Halloween, get your scariest costume and head to Speedway for a memorable Halloween carnival.
With over 100 trunks with candy, hay rides, food trucks, a haunted trail through the woods and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy Halloween.
