Apple Watch could need time: analysts

Of the nearly one million preorders cast in the US on the Friday launch of the Apple Watch, 62 percent were for the less expensive Sport version.

Many of the customers bought the least expensive band, according to market analytics firm Slice Intelligence, who says more than one third bought the Sport band in black or white.

Seventy-one percent of customers opted for the biggest case, which measures 42 mm, only slightly bigger than the 38 mm version, according to Slice.
