Sporting Kansas City announced the launch of a new Spanish-language website on Thursday.

Fans can now visit es.sportingkc.com to see written content and graphics — such as player profiles, stats, schedule details, ticket information, news stories, club announcements and match previews and recaps — in Spanish, as well as photos and video, according to a team press release.

Sporting KC joins Atlanta United FC and Inter Miami FC as just the third Major League Soccer team to unveil a fully integrated website in Spanish. The move is consistent with Sporting’s other efforts to serve Spanish-speaking fans in Kansas City, the United States and around the world.

The club started sharing Spanish-language content from its @SoySporting Twitter and Facebook channels in 2011 during its rebrand to Sporting KC.

Now, Sporting has Spanish public address announcements at all home match days. All of the club’s matches are broadcast in Spanish on Apple TV and are viewable in more than 100 countries and regions via an MLS Season Pass subscription.

La Grande 1340 AM in Kansas City has aired Sporting KC matches in Spanish since 2007. The Sporting commentary team of Diego Gutierrez, Emmily Infante and Josue Orantes can also be heard via free streams on the Sporting KC app.

Sporting KC rosters several Spanish-speaking players, including star striker Alan Pulido, the reigning MLS Player of the Month.

The club also recognizes that Kansas City, Kansas, where its stadium and training facilities are located, is home to a growing Hispanic community — 31.2% of the city’s population, according to U.S. Census Data.

“We’re excited to offer another important connection point to our fans — both here in Kansas City and around the world,” Sporting KC vice president of marketing Aaron Borns said in the release. “We appreciate the partnership with the league to be one of the first clubs in Major League Soccer to bring this to life.”
