A new bar named the North Sports Bar has applied for a liquor license for the former Nice Times space at 2028 E. North Ave.

The space was home to Snack Boys from 2019 to 2021, and Hotel Foster from 2011 to 2016.

The application for North Sports Bar said it would serve bar food, beer, wine and liquor, with 55% of sales coming from alcohol, 40% from food and 5% from entertainment.

The bar could be open by April 1, according to the application.

Waukesha resident Raymond Sanchez is listed as the sole owner of the bar. The application said he has 10-plus years of service industry experience.

Sanchez did not respond to a request for comment.

Nice Times was a short-lived restaurant that opened in early 2022 and closed just months later, citing challenges from COVID-19.
