Sports bar, sushi and smoothies: These 5 businesses plan to open in Sacramento-area mall

A list of businesses are moving into one of the Sacramento region’s most popular shopping centers — from arcade games to all-you-can-eat-sushi.

In a news release on Thursday, Palladio at Broadstone in Folsom announced Shake Shack, Dave & Busters, BoxLunch, Tru Bowl Superfood Bar and Pier 50 Sushi are all planned for the outdoor mall. One business is opening as soon as Friday, Feb. 23.

Gloria Wright, general manager at Palladio, said the shopping center is strategically adding businesses that “appeal to customers who value social interaction.”

An emphasis is placed on drawing young customers who want to gather in person for a day of shopping and dining.

“This winning strategy has resulted in a surge in sales and increased occupancy rates,” she added.

Here’s when the businesses will open, where they’re located and what to expect from each:

Shake Shack

Shake Shack will open its doors to Folsom sometime this fall at 210 Palladio Parkway, suite 2105.

The 3,699-square-foot space marks the third location in the Sacramento area.

There was a “strong interest” in bringing Shake Shack to the shopping center, Wright wrote in a news release.

Marked as the modern-day roadside burger stand, Shake Shack’s food menu ranges from a $4.19 basket of fries to a $10.89 Roadside Burger topped with onions simmered in beer.

Dave & Busters

Dave & Busters is slated to April 1 at 430 Palladio Parkway in Folsom.

The 22,856 square-foot space will feature an arcade, sports bar and a restaurant, according to a news release. This will be the first location in Folsom, with other Sacramento-area locations in Roseville and Fairfield.

In a news release on Friday, the Dallas-based company announced it’s looking to fill over 180 positions including servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks and game technicians.

BoxLunch

The only retailer on the list will turn on its registers on Friday, Feb. 23, at 280 Palladio Parkway, Suite 925, in Folsom.

The fourth location in the Sacramento area will join a list of sites in Arden Fair mall in Arden Arcade, Westfield Galleria mall in Roseville and Solana Town Center in Fairfield.

BoxLunch is a gift shop with clothes, accessories, home goods, collectibles and toys.

Tru Bowl Superfood Bar

Tru Bowl Superfood Bar will open its first Northern California location in Folsom at 420 Palladio Parkway, Suite 1701.

The 1,631 square-foot shop will sell fresh juices, acai bowls, smoothies, salads, and paninis, Palladio at Broadstone wrote in a news release.

The online menu ranges from a $3 Immune Boost wellness shot with ginger and lemon to a $15.50 Ez-TRŪ acai bowl packed with oats and chia pudding.

Pier 50 Sushi

Pier 50 Sushi offers sushi lovers an all-you-can-eat concept.

The local franchise, created by Fukumi Restaurant Group , will open another location in the fall at 330 Palladio Parkway, Suite 2045, in Folsom.

The 3,423-square-foot restaurant is the region’s second location, with another site planned for Arden Fair mall’s Market Square in Arden Arcade.

In a previous Sacramento Bee story, Sylbi Song, who owns Fukumi Restaurant Group with her husband, said the menu will feature more than 100 items. The list includes small dishes, Korean fusion entrees and cooked options.

Prices will range from $30 to $50 for each person for the all-you-can-eat experience.

The duo also has several restaurants across the Sacramento area including Fukumi Ramen, Fukumi Chaya and Its Sushi.
