May 26—Buse 4th at Regional

EVANSVILLE — Kaden Buse of Barr-Reeve was the highest area finisher at the Evansville Central Regional on Thursday.

Buse was fourth in the 400, with a time of :50.67. Washington's Kenny Levasseur finished 10th overall in the high jump with a jump of 6'2"

North Daviess' Abe Victoriano was 14th in the shot put with a throw of 43' 4".

The State finals will be at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex, at Indiana University, Bloomington on June 2.

WHS falls to Valley

MONTGOMERY — The Washington golf team fell to Springs Valley, 347 to 350. WHS was led by Michael McCarthy with an 85, 88 for Zach Mann and Bensen Smith, and 89s for Patrick McCarthy and Brian Martinez.

The Hatchet second team shot 374 and Valley second team shot 455. Chris Meredith led the second team with a 92 for WHS.

B-R wins at Oaks

MONTGOMERY — The Barr-Reeve Viking golf team posted a win over Bloomfield on Thursday at Country Oaks.

Barr-Reeve won 193-196 with Isaac Knepp shooting 45, Levi Traylor 48, Pierce Madison 50, Copeland Gish 50 and Chezney Sullivan with a 57.

The Vikes moved to 23-56 with the win.
