Jun. 23—Kniesly wins school's Milligan award

FINDLAY, Ohio — Logansport's Kristina Kniesly has been named the University of Findlay's Sharon G. Milligan Female Athlete of the Year, the school announced on Wednesday.

Kniesly capped her senior season by leading Findlay to the NCAA Division II women's golf national title, finishing off a record-setting campaign.

She set new program and Great Midwest Athletic Conference scoring records for both a single-season and career on her way to winning the G-MAC Player of the Year award. She won three tournaments this spring, including taking medalist at the G-MAC Championship, and led the Oilers to a perfect spring in which the squad won all eight tournaments it played.

Kniesly was named first team All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

Carroll's Dillon signs with Saints

Former Carroll High School athlete Brandon Dillon has signed with the New Orleans Saints, the team announced on Tuesday.

A 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end, Dillon played in five games over three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He appeared in one game for the Vikings last season. He then finished last season on the New York Jets' practice squad.
