Sports scores, highlights: Case's Silva reaches 1,000th career assist against Fairhaven

The fall sports season is heading into the final week before the start of tournament time for Fall River area teams.

Boys soccer: Diman at Upper Cape

RECORD: Diman, 8-8-1 (5-1-1 in Mayflower Large)

HIGHLIGHTS: The Bengals blanked Upper Cape on the road. Sean Cordeiro, Andrew Gesner, Aiden Furtado, Jayden Desforge and Sean Borges each netted goals for Diman. Nathan Auclair and Nehven Jose each collected an assist in the win. Landon Cordeiro stopped six shots in net for the shutout.

NEXT UP: The Bengals host Southeastern on Tuesday.

Boys soccer: Somerset Berkley at Seekonk

SCORE: Somerset Berkley 3, Seekonk 0

RECORD: Somerset Berkley, 10-3-3 (6-2-3 in South Coast Conference)

HIGHLIGHTS: The Raiders blank league opponent Seekonk on the road. Seth Lee (assist), Derrick Camara (assist) and Cam Freitas each scored goals for SBR. Nicolas Scanlon also had an assist in the win. Evan Furtado had six saves in net.

NEXT UP: The Raiders face Diman on Wednesday.

SCORE: Westport 5, Bristol-Plymouth 0

RECORD: Westport, 14-0-1 (6-0-1 in Mayflower Comprehensive)

HIGHLIGHTS: The unbeaten Wildcats blanked Mayflower Large opponent Bristol-Plymouth at home. Hunter Brodeur scored three goals in the win for Westport. Antonio Dutra Africano and Will Quinlan each scored a goal. Tyler Arraial, Coltrane McGonigle and Jake Cross added assists. Noah Amaral earn his ninth shutout of the season. Noah Sowle, Nick Stanton, Matt Costa and Ben Cross also played well.

NEXT UP: The Wildcats face Nantucket on Wednesday.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Tritons tied their game with Bishop Connolly on the road. Caitlynn Cabral netted the lone goal for Atlantis Charter. Cidney Barboza was the Tritons' Player of the Match.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Tritons qualified for the state tournament after beating Bishop Connolly at home on Saturday. Caitlynn Cabral netted a pair of goals for Atlantis Charter in the win. She was named the Player of the Match. Destiny Rodney also scored her eighth goal in seven games. Bethany Slivka scored a goal for Connolly.

HIGHLIGHTS: The young Cardinals lost to league opponent Joseph Case. Goalkeeper Emma Villarrubia made 12 saves in net for Case. Senior captain Veronica Araujo had another strong outing in midfield.

Girls soccer: Somerset Berkley vs. Seekonk

SCORE: Somerset Berkley 4, Seekonk 2

RECORD: Somerset Berkley, 7-6-3 (7-4-3 in South Coast Conference)

HIGHLIGHTS: The Raiders took care of business against league opponent Seekonk at home to inch closer to the tournament. Mia Gentile netted a pair of goals for SBR. Jocelyn Wilson and Lauren Roosa (assist) also scored goals. Julia Costa had a pair of assists while Genesis Price added one. "Our team is young — six freshman — all of which play significant minutes," Raiders head coach Kasey Jeronimo said. "Julia [Costa] was proof of the grit they carry today,"

Field hockey: Westport at Joseph Case

HIGHLIGHTS: The South Coast Conference Gold Division champion Cardinals remain undefeated after beating non-league Westport at home. Megan Smith scored a hat trick for Case. Brooke Orton (assist) had a pair of goals while Maeve Richardson (assist) and Lexi Yost (assist) each scored a goal. Jenna Benfeito and Shelby Hajder each contributed assists. Goalie Anna Michaud had a stellar game with 19 saves in net. Kaelyn Lecomte, Brooke Perron, Addie Carreiro and Riley MacDonald were strong defensively. The Wildcat's goals were scored by Kaylin Pacheco and Cailynn White. Avery Avila and Molly Bazinet each contributed assists. Jada Thurston had a strong defensive game.

NEXT UP: The Cardinals travel to Somerset Berkley on Thursday while Westport takes on St. John Paul II on Tuesday.

HIGHLIGHTS: Ava Pontes scored with five minutes remaining to lift the Raiders to an exciting road win against Durfee. Emily Bjork also scored for SBR on an assist from Karissa Aubin. Jia Syronn scored the lone goal for the Hilltoppers. Kailey Hutchinson had seven saves in net and Emily Curran was solid on defense. "Today's game was truly a battle from start to finish," Durfee head coach Nicole Henrique said. "Unfortunately we did not come out on top. But I am impressed with how hard we played."

NEXT UP: Somerset Berkley host Case for their annual Pink Out Fundraiser Thursday while Durfee takes on Seekonk on Friday.

Girls volleyball: Atlantis Charter at Cape Cod Tech.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Tritons lost three straight sets against Cape Cod Tech. on the road.  Sarah Moniz had three kills for Atlantis Charter. Liz Perez finished with two kills and a block. Victoria Gomes contributed two aces and two kills.

NEXT UP: The Tritons travel to Rising Tide Wednesday.

HIGHLIGHTS: Oliva Silva hit a milestone, recording her 1,000th career assist to help the Cardinals take three of four sets against Fairhaven on Senior Night. Silva finished the night with a game-high 31 assists for Case. Hannah Storm had 21 kills and 10 digs while Logan Brown had seven kills and eight digs. Jamie Moniz had five kills, seven digs and two blocks. Sophia Conos had three kills, five assists and 10 digs. Issy Salpietro ended with a kill and multiple great touches on blocks.

NEXT UP: The Cardinals travel to Somerset Berkley on Wednesday.

Girls volleyball: Diman at Westport

SCORE: Westport 3, Diman 2 (21-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-20, 15-9)

RECORD: Westport 10-7, (5-3 in Mayflower Comprehensive) Diman 12-4 (7-1 in Mayflower Large)

HIGHLIGHTS: The Wildcats pulled out a thrilling, five-set victory against Diman at home. Zoey Sylvain had 17 service points and nine aces for Westport. Taylor Perry chipped in with 14 assists and seven service points. Kyleigh Finglas finished with eight kills, 11 service points and five aces. Hannah Therrien had 11 service points and Jayda Pequita ended with nine service points and aces.                                                              Diman: Hannah Martin led Diman with three aces, 12 digs, and 17 assists. Avery Rounds had five aces and 25 digs. Kacie Lynch (three aces, five kills, 21 digs), Lindsey Moniz (four aces, two kills, 20 digs, two blocks), Sarah Moniz (three aces, five kills, 18 digs), Courtney Boies  (three blocks) and Sadie Krauzyk (three aces, four kills, three digs, six blocks)
