TAUNTON— There was quite a bit of high school sports action for the Greater Taunton area teams over the weekend.

Boys Cross Country: Taunton at Ocean State XC Invitational

HIGHLIGHTS: Brayden Cali was the Tigers' top finisher in the Boys Varsity- Large School 5K, finishing in 28th out of 200 with a time of 17:34, while Andrew Cali finished 60th with a time of 18:17.4, Jack Pawlowski came in 89th with a time of 18:48.9, Cam Dorr came in 90th with a time of 18:49.3, Aiden Zamora came in 118th with a time of 19:16.7, Daris Alves came in 149th with a time of 20:06.5 and Quincy Jacobs finished 194th with a time of 22:50.1.

HIGHLIGHTS: Emersyn DePonte was the Tigers' top finisher in the Girls Varsity- Large School 5K, coming in 86th out of 155 with a time of 23:00, while Kiley Quinlan finished 91st with a time of 23:05, Sarah Mendonca came in 99th with a time of 23:13 and Arianna Abbatangelo came in 135th with a time of 24:47.

HIGHLIGHTS: James Murray was the top finisher for the Trojans in the Boys Varsity- Large School 5K, coming in 26th out of 200 with a time of 17:33.7 while Joseph Brand finished 161st with a time of 20:09.3, Ryan Hall came in 176th with a time of 20:38.9, Dereck Islas came in 182nd with a time of 20:56.6 and Connor Walsh came in 191st with a time of 22:26.5.

Girls Cross Country: Bridgewater-Raynham at Ocean State XC Invitational
LOCATION: Goddard Memorial State Park

HIGHLIGHTS: Sydney O'Donnell was the Trojans' top finisher in the Girls Varsity- Large School 5K, finishing 30th out of 155 with a time of 21:08 while Brenna Woodbury came in 80th with a time of 22:47, Audrey Lambert came in 110th with a time of 23:33, Nethica Auguste came in 121st with a time of 24:21, Kate Lambert and Ieva Piragis tied at 140th with a time of 24:53 and Kerry Parks finished 146th with a time of 25:13.

HIGHLIGHTS: Breanna Reid, Willow Forbes-Smith, Makena Columbus and Madeline Jackson all found the back of the net for the Trojans while Lily Ford had a pair of assists and goalkeeper Cori Cahill kept a clean sheet for the second time this season.
