Sportscaster James Brown, NFL coaching icon Tony Dungy to speak in North Haledon

NORTH HALEDON — Pro sports icons James Brown and Tony Dungy will be on the campus of Mary Help of Christians Academy this weekend for a motivational talk on leadership.

The event will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the gymnasium of the all-girls high school, at 659 Belmont Ave.

The discussion is recommended for “families of faith” and for “sports fans,” the academy said in a recent post to its Facebook page.

Brown, 72, a Harvard-educated sportscaster who began his career covering the former Washington Bullets of the NBA, hosts “The NFL Today” on CBS. Dungy, 68, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, won Super Bowl XLI as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts in February 2007.
