A new spot for tacos, tequila is opening its doors in the Midlands. Check out when

It’s taco time, Lexington.

Barrio Tacos + Tequila + Whiskey, which has locations in a number of states, is making its debut in the Midlands. A new location at 105 W. Main St. in downtown Lexington was set to have its grand opening at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, according to posts on its social media channels.

The food menu at Barrio includes a wide selection of specialty tacos, as well as build-your-own options, along with appetizers, salsas and much more. Its drink menu includes margaritas, bourbon and other libations. Barrio also has extensive brunch offerings, including the cowboy taco, which includes Coca-Cola marinated steak, Yukon hash browns, over-easy egg, crispy onions and chipotle honey barbecue sauce.

The Lexington Barrio Tacos is located in the new Icehouse on Main building, occupying 2,800 square feet on the first floor. It’s next door to Alodia’s Italian restaurant and near the popular Icehouse Amphitheatre that often hosts concerts and shows.

Main Street in Lexington has seen a revival in recent years, with a host of restaurants and bars — O’Hara’s Public House, Craft Axe Throwing, Bodhi Thai Dining, Nicky’s Pizzeria, Keg Cowboy, Alodia’s and O’Hara’s Bakery Cafe, just to name a few — now lining the street. Molto Vino Wine Bar has announced that it was planning a spot at 102 W. Main St.

It’s a busy corridor, with about 19,100 cars per day traveling down that section of West Main, per state Department of Transportation statistics.

Barrio Tacos announced in August that is also planning a location in Columbia, at 4420 Devine St.
