Beauty brand Hard Candy launched an entire collection dedicated to the film and fashion icon Marilyn Monroe this month. Spanning makeup and skincare, the series (which is available exclusively at Walmart) includes everyday essentials such as toner, face serum and finishing powder, as well as more glamorous products like shimmer oil, body powder and lip tint. The line comes presented in floral, art deco-like casing with a retro edge.
The legacy of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, the late US singer-songwriter known as the "the Queen of Tejano," is being honored this spring by MAC Cosmetics. The beauty giant is preparing to drop a second, limited-edition makeup collection featuring the star, who passed away in 1995, following an original collaboration that launched in 2016. Dubbed ‘Selena La Reina,' the line will roll out in select markets in April, and feature the hit product 'Lipglass' in 'Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,' which was part of the original collection.
Hip-hop duo Salt-N-Pepa teamed up with the beauty brand Milani Cosmetics last month on a new makeup series, ‘Milani X SNP.' The collection, which is set to roll out in various stores across the US and Canada over the coming months, nods to the duo's iconic '90s beauty aesthetic, spanning a 12-pan ‘Hot, Kool & Vicious Eyeshadow Palette,' a 12-pan ‘Very Necessary Eyeshadow Palette' and two lip kits containing a matte lipstick and lip liner in nude and red tones respectively.
