We welcome Spring today but it’s going to continue to feel more like late winter. Action News Jax Meteorologist Corey Simma is tracking morning lows in the 30s and 40s, only climbing to the low and mid 60s with mostly sunny skies. A chilly breeze out of the northwest will gust as strong as 15 mph.

The vernal equinox is 5:24 pm EDT. Overnight, we drop to the mid 40s inland and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast. Onshore winds develop tonight.

An isolated coastal shower is possible for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs make it back to the upper 70s in Jacksonville by midweek.

We warm up into the 80s by Thursday and Friday.

The forecast high on Friday is 88 degrees. The record is 91 set in 1907.

Increasing clouds return on Saturday with a few afternoon showers and temperatures still warm in the mid-80s.

Sunday will be dry and sunny with temperatures in the low 80s.
