Spring piano recital held

HILLSDALE — Last month, Sharon Randall's students had their annual Spring Piano Recital.

Thirty-two students participated in the concert May 7 at College Baptist Church.

Randall has been teaching piano for 57 years and has lived in Osseo for 56 years. She graduated from Cedarville University with a bachelor's degree in piano.

“These students come from all over the county,” Randall said.

In addition to performing in the concert, 10 students also earned certificates for theory and music progress.

The students performed a wide variety of music.

Chopin’s Prelude in E minor Op. 28 No. 4 and Beethoven’s “Variations on a Swiss Song” were performed by Jonah Diers.

“Just the Way You Are” by Schmidt (The Piano Guys) was played by Jaelynn Padget, and Cadence Calaway played Invention in F by Bach.

Brooke Ford and her dad, Bryan, played Pachelbels' Canon in D as a duet.

Students also included Deacon Padget, Matthew Flannery, Phoebe Yuan, Lyle Wolfinger, Lane Hamilton, Stella Johnson, Silvia Yuan, Brennan Hamrick, Zane Sayles, Edward Caspar, Toni Rhoades, Tinsley Padget, Martin Flannery,  Adelyn Hamilton, Ava Nye, Jacob Caspar, Madison Calaway, Graham Wolfinger, Savannah Nye, Jonah Sayles, Abbey Wohlheter, Maria Rossman, Melody Rosebrock, Sophia Neinas, Jack Johnson, Morgan Rossman, Ethan Wohlheter, Western Watkins and Eden McNew.
