Spring programming at The Battery Atlanta
May 7—This May, The Battery Atlanta has a busy month filled with fun family events to get into the springtime spirit.
— May 5 at 7 p.m., the Allatoona High School Jazz Band will perform jazz classics on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage.
— May 5 at 5 p.m. will be the Fiesta de Mayo at Live! at The Battery Atlanta. Participants can celebrate the Hispanic and Latin culture with live local music, Latin-owned local business vendors, drink specials and themed dancers. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.axs.com/events/428506/fiesta-de-mayo-cinco-de-mayo-party-tickets?cid=website. General admission tickets grant access to all venues inside Live! At the Battery, one drink ticket, food specials and live entertainment.
— May 7 at 8:30 a.m. will be the Make-A-Wish Walk For Wishes, a 5k benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation that attracts over 700 participants. Register at https://secure2.wish.org/site/TR/WalkForWishes/Make-A-WishGeorgia?fr_id=4093&pg=entry. Participants can enjoy food, a scavenger hunt, games and music.
— May 21 from 8 a.m. to noon will be the Trot to Clot 2022. Participants can walk or run in honor the 2021 World Series Champions, the Atlanta Braves. The 13th annual 5k walk/run for Camp Wannaklot is presented by Hemophilia of Georgia and will raise funds to send youth to Camp Wannaklot this summer. — May 22 at noon will be the Lana Turner Foundation Ride for a Cure at Live! at The Battery Atlanta. This event, filled with bikes, bourbon and BBQ, welcomes all bikers to join the ride to The Battery Atlanta for a celebration hosted by Brit and Richard Turner from Blackberry Smoke to raise funds and awareness for Cure Childhood Cancer.
