Spring Splash and Buddy the Bear: Family fun for the week of April 28

It’s a great weekend to combine learning and fun – and Buddy the Bear is ready to share both at the opening of his renovated safety house April 29. And as the weather warms, water beckons. See the recently renovated Buddy’s Health & Safety House, an education-tool-on-wheels that helps children learn how to prevent unintentional injuries in the home while also encouraging healthy habits. The “open-house” celebration is 10 a.m. – noon April 29 on the Prisma Health Patewood Medical Campus. The celebration will be the official debut of the house and will also feature games and education for the entire family as well as giveaways of free bicycle helmets. Free car seat checks will be available for registered participants. Advance registration is required for the checks, and space is limited.
