The Daytona Beach News-Journal is proud to announce the spring sports nominees for the 2022 Volusia-Flagler-St. Johns High School Sports Awards to be held live on Monday, May 23, at Peabody Auditorium, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The show is produced with the support of Halifax Health and Amish Home Furnishings.

Spring sports honored are baseball, flag football, lacrosse, softball, tennis, track and field, and boys weightlifting.

This year's show will be a combined show with the Greater Jacksonville High School Sports Awards.

The show honors more than 200 high school athletes from across the Volusia, Flagler and St. Johns area, as well as awarding players of the year for more than 20 sports.

It will also include several major awards, including overall Girls Player of the Year, Boys Player of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year and Courage Award. Andruw Jones will join the show as a guest speaker.

The Volusia-Flagler-St. Johns High School Sports Awards is part of the USA Today High School Sports Awards program, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
