Springfield Police bringing out drones for St. Patrick’s parade

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — People attending Springfield’s St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday may see something in the skies when they look up. But it won’t be anything to worry about.

The Springfield Police Department said its officers may use drones as part of its monitoring and patrol of the parade. They said using drones provides real-time monitoring and enhances the safety of people in attendance.
