Missouri House Minority Leader Crystal Quade will hold a special announcement in Springfield on Monday.

In 2022, Quade was reelected to her seat in the Missouri House of Representatives, beating Republican Stephanos Freeman by 13 percentage points, or around 900 votes.

She was first elected in 2016 to represent House District 132, which contains part of Greene County. In 2019, she was elected by her caucus to serve as the House Minority Floor Leader, a position she has held ever since.

Due to term limits, the 2024 legislative session will be the last she can hold this office. However, she has previously hinted that a gubernatorial campaign may be in her future.

A February report from the Missouri Ethics Commission shows that Quade intends to run for statewide office in 2024.

In April, at the end of the quarterly reporting period, PACs associated with Quade showed funds being utilized in both the candidate and political action groups. Citizens For Crystal Quade had more than $68,000 on hand, and CRYSTAL PAC had more than $33,000.

She will give remarks at Big Momma’s Coffee and Espresso Bar, 217 E. Commercial St. at 10 a.m.
