Squid Game confirms returning and new cast members for season 2

Netflix has revealed who will be returning for season 2 of Squid Game along with some new cast members.
In a short video posted to Instagram, which was also shared during their TUDUM: Global Fan Event, the streaming service confirmed which actors will be reprising roles from season 1.
Along with a series of clips from its first season, the short teaser confirmed that Lee Jung-Jae would return as Seong Gi-Huh, Lee Byung-Hun will reprise his role as Front Man, and Wi Ha-Jun will be back as police detective Jun-ho.

Also returning to the Squid Game universe is Train To Busan star Gong Yoo as the Recruiter aka "The man in the suit with ddakji".
In an exciting segment, the short video introduces us to "the new players" as they individually appear on the screen to place a vote on a machine much like that from season 1.
First up is the star of the Netflix thriller Unlocked, singer and actor Yim Si-wan, then we are introduced to Kang Ha-Neul. Joining them are Park Sung-hoon, who fans of The Glory will recognise, and Yang Dong-geun.
While it's currently unknown who the new members will be playing, perhaps the way they vote will give fans an idea of their character.

Meanwhile, as part of the TUDUM event, the streaming service gave fans a sneak peak of the new reality show Squid Game: The Challenge.
Based on the hit series, the new game show, which is set for release in November, will follow a similar theme to its fictional counterpart as 456 contestants compete in trials and games to win a $4.56 million cash prize.
In the short teaser trailer we can see a number of sets being made based closely on those from the original series and a real-life replica of Young-hee, the show's famous killer robot doll.
Squid Game season 1 is streaming now on Netflix. Season 2 has been confirmed.
