'Squid Games'-inspired protest outside climate summit

Head of Politics at Green Alliance, Chris Venables, told Reuters that despite climate change being the most serious issue facing the world, global leaders were “playing games” and failing to make “real pledges and promises to cut emissions.”

The United Nations COP26 climate summit began on Sunday (October 31) in Glasgow, Scotland.

The conference opened the day after G20 economies failed to commit to a 2050 target to halt net carbon emissions - a deadline widely cited as necessary to prevent the most extreme global warming.
