SR 2 reopens at Stevens Pass after closure due to high winds, heavy snow
Part of State Route 2 was reopened Wednesday after closing Tuesday due to significant wind and snow in the area, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
SR 2 was closed in both directions from milepost 59 to 80, about 5 miles west of Coles Corner and the junction with State Route 207.
The pass reopened at 11 a.m. with chains required.
Crews have reopened US 2 Stevens Pass as of 11:30AM (1/10) with CHAINS REQUIRED on all vehicles except AWD. Even with AWD/chains we need you to drive for conditions, headlights on & give our crews & fellow travelers plenty of room. *Work going well on Blewett Pass but no ETA yet. pic.twitter.com/QlwDvAoYiQ
