SRSO: Milton man arrested after deputies find a 'few thousand' child porn files on devices

Santa Rosa Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 41-year-old Milton man Tuesday night after authorities discovered thousands of files depicting child sex acts on his devices.

Eldon George Nuehring Jr. was arrested on 20 counts of possession of child pornography after Verizon’s cloud storage service, Synchronoss Technologies, sent a cyber tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding child sex abuse material on associated with Nuehring’s cell phone number.

Since their initial investigation that began March 30, 2022, deputies received four tips from NCMEC of over 200 child sex abuse material files being uploaded to Verizon’s cloud storage.

“On April 25, 2022, I received the subpoena return back from Verizon regarding (the phone number),” the investigating deputy wrote in Nuehring’s arrest report. “The phone number came back to Theresa Nuehring at (7000 block of) Eastgate Road.”

After further investigation, deputies discovered that Theresa had died on July 32, 2021, but Nuehring Jr. and his father both lived at the address.

SRSO deputies then conducted a search warrant on the home where they seized four cell phones, three tablets and a laptop.

On Feb. 28, 2023, a forensic analysis of the devices seized showed Nuehring Jr. allegedly housed thousands of child sex abuse material files across the devices.

“I viewed and described 20 child sex abuse material files,” the report states. “It should be noted that this was only 20 of the few thousand CSAM files found on Eldon’s devices.”

According to jail records, Nuehring Jr.'s father has not been charged.

Jail records indicate Nuehring Jr. remains in Santa Rosa County Jail on $300,000 as of Friday morning.
