Latin music icon Gloria Trevi is including El Paso in her Isla Divina World Tour 2022. Trevi will perform Friday at the El Paso County Coliseum. The show will start at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $39 to $199, plus fees, at Ticketmaster.com.

Chiquis at Speaking Rock

The singer and TV personality star is returning to El Paso with a free concert Saturday at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, 122 S. Old Pueblo Road. She is promoting her latest album, "Abeja Reina," a collection of songs that range from banda and corridos to R&B.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the 21 and older show.

St. Anthony's Seminary Bazaar

Music, food and fun returns at the St. Anthony's Bazaar, starting at 11 a.m. Saturday through Monday on the seminary grounds, 4601 Hastings Drive.

The bazaar will feature gorditas and hamburgers and aguas, among other great foods and games.

Free admission.

Lowbrow Palace reopens

The Lowbrow Palace will reopen Labor Day weekend in a new space at 1006 Texas Ave., coinciding with its 11-year anniversary. The venue will host indie-rock legends Modest Mouse and the Rodeo: Night Market, followed by a special Drake vs. Kanye dance party.

The new spot has two stages, an indoor bar and a repurposed outdoor shipping container bar.

Weekend schedule:

Friday: Modest Mouse: General admission, sold-out. Doors open at 6 p.m.; show at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday: The Rodeo: Night Market: 6 to 10 p.m.; afterward Drizzy vs. Ye: A Night of Drake and Kanye. Tickets $15, $20 all ages.

Sunday: Triathlon: Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets $15, $18 all ages, at lowbrowpalace.com.

Upcoming art exhibit to offer multimedia experience

El Paso artist Diego “Robot” Martinez is unveiling his "Peace Love Dope Death" exhibit from 6-11 p.m. Sept. 9-11 at Buddy’s Beer Barn, 10150 Montana Ave. Martinez has transformed a building into artwork with murals on the walls inside and outside his exhibit space. Even the floor has been painted.

Martinez promises a multimedia experience, including a projected light show, music and a cornucopia of art that has emerged from the creative spark unleashed since his move from his Socorro exhibit space. Tickets at the door will be $15, but art lovers can save money by buying a ticket for $10, plus a $1.50 fee, online at https://diegorobot.ticketleap.com/peace-love-dope-death/, plus a VIP section is being planned that will include food and beer for an extra cost.

Mora, Romero, Padilla exhibition continues at Hal Marcus Gallery

The Hal Marcus Gallery, 1308 N. Oregon St., has changed its operating hours. It now is open from noon to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
