LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Saint Catherine of Siena Parish School has closed its doors for the 2020-21 school year, they reported to Patch.

The school will spend the year re-branding with a new curriculum, Stephanie Simpson, Director of Admissions of the school, told Patch. The school opened in 1957, and was reconstructed in 2008. They served transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

Father Patrick Rudolph gathered teachers, staff and school families together for a socially distanced "good bye mass" for teachers and staff, singing a song he'd written just for them.

"It was heartfelt, and much appreciated," Simpson said.
