St. Cloud expected to experience first frost, freeze of the season this week

Tell your tomato plants it's officially fall. Several Central Minnesota counties are expected to experience a frost or freeze Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service reported areas of frost will develop Monday night, largely across western and Central Minnesota; this includes Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties among 47 other counties. A widespread frost or a freeze is expected Tuesday night, according to NWS.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. North/northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. North/northwest wind around 5 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 58. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Areas of frost after 3 a.m. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 33. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Widespread frost, mainly before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 60 degrees. Calm wind becoming south/southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
