St. Cloud State University selects Dr. Katherina Pattit to be next dean of Herberger Business School

St. Cloud State University has named Dr. Katherina Pattit as the next dean of the Herberger Business School.

Pattit comes to the position from the University of St. Thomas where she was professor and department chair in the Ethics and Business Law Department. Pattit has served St. Thomas since 2008 with numerous leadership roles in strategic planning; launching a departmental advisory board with leaders of Fortune 500 companies; implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; and collaborating with Opus College of Business leadership to obtain a $900,000 grant from US Bank to develop a business ethics resource website for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Pattit holds a record of participating in her campus community, offering leadership and support to numerous committees focused on the student online experience, curriculum design and learning assessment.

Pattit has a doctorate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Diplom-Kauffrau (German equivalent of MBA) from Friedrich-Alexander University in Germany.

As dean of the Herberger Business School, Pattit will help set a strategic direction in alignment with the university’s It’s Time vision, strengthening the school’s programs, developing new initiatives to meet the needs of stakeholders and actively fostering impactful scholarship and creative endeavors.

She will begin her role at St. Cloud State July 1.
