PEORIA — St. Louis Cardinals reliever Drew VerHagen wrapped up his three-game rehab stint with the Peoria Chiefs on Sunday against Beloit.

In three relief outings, he pitched four innings, allowed three hits, one run (unearned), walked two, struck out three and produced a 0.00 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. The team said the 31-year-old first-year Cardinals pitcher touched 97 mph on the radar gun.

The right-hander continues to work his way back from a shoulder impingement that has kept him on the shelf since June 23. He was 3-1 with a 6.30 ERA in 20 MLB appearances this season.
