St Louis Police Appeal for Information After Crowd Jumps On and Damages Cruiser

Police in St Louis, Missouri, released bodycam video as part of an appeal to help identify people who were filmed jumping on a police cruiser in the early hours of Sunday, May 23.

The St Louis Metropolitan Police Department said it received 13 calls at around 2:30 am on Sunday morning for a large party on the top floor of an apartment building on the 1500 block of Washington Avenue.

Police said a crowd from the party began to congregate outside the building as the responding officers attempted to disperse them, and a number of individuals jumped on the police car.

Police said the individuals seen in this footage stomped on the car and one individual was able to open the passenger-side door of the vehicle. The crowd dispersed as backup arrived at the scene, and the officer involved was not injured, police said.
