SOUTH BEND — St. Margaret’s House presents “A Common Thread: Stories of Connection & Community” at 7 p.m. Nov 3 at Northside Hall at Indiana University South Bend.

This evening of storytelling will feature guests, volunteers, staff and students who will share their experiences of connection at St. Margaret’s House.

The performance seeks to illustrate the unique nature of the community at St. Margaret's House, a day center for women and children in downtown South Bend that helps with immediate needs, including hot meals, clothing, toiletries, showers, and access to computers and phones.

Its trauma-informed approach seeks to empower women to take their next best step forward with programming on parenting, employment, and self-care.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, live Spanish translation (with audio device) and assistive hearing devices will be available.

Handmade items from St. Margaret's House Silk Creations social enterprise program will also be for sale at the event.

A dessert reception follows the performance.
