St. Mary's Springs, Fond du Lac lead high school football rankings for Oshkosh, Fond du Lac

Here are the Oshkosh Northwestern/Fond du Lac Reporter area football rankings after Week 1. Teams are ranked "pound-for-pound" with each team's success in relation to its enrollment size.

1. St. Mary's Springs (1-0): Ledgers pounded Lake Country Lutheran 27-0 behind senior running back Levi Huempfner, who had three touchdown runs. Tom Koffman led the defense with 11 tackles and a sack. Next: Saturday vs. Darlington, 1 p.m.

2. Fond du Lac (1-0): Cardinals senior receiver Tyler Brandner had four catches for 105 yards and two scores in the Cardinals' 28-20 victory over Kettle Moraine. Halden Krueger had nine tackles, including two for loss. Next: Friday vs. Franklin.

3. Mayville (1-0): Cardinals dominant in 28-7 victory over Cedar Grove-Belgium. Blake Schraufnagel (216 yards rushing, three touchdowns) and Bradley Bushke (five total tackles, two interceptions) led the way. Next: Friday at Horicon/Hustisford.

4. Campbellsport (1-0): Junior running back Benjamin Timm had 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-7 win at New Holstein. Next: Friday vs. Kewaskum.

5. Lourdes Academy (1-0): Sophomore quarterback Wade Lindahl was superb in a 48-19 win over Living Word Lutheran with 220 yards passing and three touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Reedsville.

Others: Lomira (1-0), Winnebago Lutheran (1-0), Laconia (1-0).
