PETOSKEY — St. Michael High School will host its performance of Louisa May Alcott’s classic “Little Women” this coming weekend at the Harbor Springs Performing Arts Center in Harbor Springs.

Performances are Friday, May 13 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and $20 per family. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the school.

“'Little Women' is the story of sisters Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March — whose father is an army chaplain serving near Washington during the Civil War," said drama director Maartje Nolan. "The girls learn how to handle life's challenges with grace and perseverance. It was written by Louisa May Alcott, our very own American Jane Austen. We, too, hope you’ll make friends worth having and will keep them all your life.”

Headmaster Richard Brake added that “We continue to be extremely proud of our ambitious and outstanding drama program."

“I encourage everyone to join us in support of this production, and come see for yourself how our relentless pursuit of excellence manifests itself here at St. Michael High School," he said.
