St. Paul driver injured in crash with tractor on U.S. Highway 12 near Dassel, Minnesota

— An 84-year-old driver from St. Paul suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a collision with a tractor Thursday night on U.S. Highway 12 in Meeker County.

St. Paul

, was treated at Meeker Memorial Hospital in

Litchfield

, according to the

Minnesota State Patrol

accident report.

The driver of the tractor, Dwight David Dahlman, 72, of Dassel, was not injured in the accident.

According to the accident report, Casey was driving a 2020 Ford Fusion eastbound on U.S. Highway 12 as Dahlman was driving his 1980 International Harvester tractor, also eastbound, when the two vehicles collided.

The crash was reported around 8:49 p.m. Thursday west of Dassel near milepost 110 on Highway 12 in Dassel Township.

The airbags in Casey's vehicle deployed and he was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

Alcohol was not involved, according to the report. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.

Meeker County Sheriff's Office

and Dassel Fire and Rescue assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene.
