St. Paul residents mark #NationalNightOut (sometimes called #NightToUnite)
National Night Out, alternately called Night To Unite in some venues, is a traditional summer gathering of neighbors at city parks or on blocked-off neighborhood streets to celebrate good friendships.
It’s held on the first Tuesday in August. Law-enforcement officers tend to drop by to say hi.
