St. Pete Beach Sand Sculpture Encourages Use Of Face Masks

ST. PETE BEACH, FL — With Florida at the epicenter of the coronavirus, Mucinex, a leading cold and flu brand, is launching a public health information campaign, “Back to Normal is Up to You."

Using a sand sculpture, the campaign is reminding Floridians and vacationers that it’s up to everyone to take the necessary measures needed to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Local sand artists, Team Sandtastic, were commissioned to create a sculpture that drives Mucinex’s larger messaging of "getting back to normal is up to you," by encouraging the community to wear a mask. The final product is a giant mask-focused sand sculpture on Lago Mar Beach Resort.

This sculpture is part of the brand’s three-phased public health campaign, which has continued to encourage consumers to embrace science-based safe habits through an art collaboration with well-known artist, Noma Bar.
