In St. Petersburg, Localtopia returns to celebrate all things local

Localtopia, a celebration in St. Petersburg of all things local, took over Williams Park and the surrounding blocks on Saturday. It brought together more than 300 vendors to showcase local businesses, makers, artists and community organizations. The festival is presented by the nonprofit organization Keep Saint Petersburg Local, a booster for small businesses.

The event took over the surrounding streets around the park with food trucks, beer and wine tents and live music. Olga Bof, founder of Keep St. Pete Local, kept the Localtopia going even as the pandemic crippled events and the local businesses she promotes. Coming out of that slump with an even bigger event, this year’s Localtopia had gotten so large it was separated into multiple “villages” that focus on family-friendly activities, plants, health and wellness, arts and food trucks.
