St. Petersburg Whole Foods Market to open Feb. 28

St. Petersburg’s first Whole Foods Market will open on Feb. 28.

The brand new 40,100-square-foot store, located at 201 38th Ave. N, will open its doors at 9 a.m. The opening has been a long time coming, as construction at the grocery site began in 2022.

The Whole Foods Market will offer a full-service seafood counter with ready-to-cook options, a specialty cheese department, sections devoted to the 365 by Whole Foods Market brand and local products, a full-service meat counter, more than 180 craft beers and 50 from local breweries, a prepared foods department, sushi, hot bar and salad bar.

The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. opening day and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. On opening day, customers will receive complimentary coffee and breakfast. The first 300 customers in line will receive a tote bag and coupon offers up to $100 off.

Whole Foods operates more than 500 stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. There are two Whole Foods locations in Tampa and one in Clearwater.
